Antique Walnut Secretary

 This antique walnut desk sat in twenty inches of water near the Lakeview area of New Orleans, La. after hurricane Katrina. The moisture had affects on all aspects of the piece. Restoration included taking the warp out of the tops, stripping the finish, reglueing the cabinet, replacing the hinges and some minor reveneering. This piece narrowly escaped the trash pile, and is back at home being enjoyed by the family.
